Quick Start
Get answers from Pippie in under 60 seconds.
Ask a Question
Type your question into the search bar on the home screen — describe the problem like you would to another tech.
"What oil goes in a TS2021?"
"Beckett burner won't fire — getting lockout"
"EZ4040G specs"
Use Quick Topics
Tap a quick topic button on the home screen — Low Pressure, Oil Lookup, Burner Issues, Electrical, and more. These jump straight into common diagnostic categories.
Upload a Photo (or up to 3)
Tap the 📷 icon to upload photos of equipment, data plates, or parts. You can attach up to 3 photos per question. After your first photo, Pippie will ask what kind of photo it is — model plate, broken part, error code, or general view — so it focuses on the right thing.
Save Your Work
After Pippie responds, tap 💾 Save Diagnostic to create a record with machine info, parts used, notes, and steps taken. Every save includes the full conversation. Find all your saves in Diagnostics on the sidebar, and download a printable report from any saved entry.
Asking Pippie Questions
▸- What can I ask Pippie?
- Anything related to pressure washer equipment — diagnostics, troubleshooting, part lookups, specs, maintenance procedures, winterizing, startup/shutdown procedures, chemical injection, and more. Pippie pulls from a knowledge base of manufacturer documentation, service manuals, and field-verified tips.
- How does Pippie find answers?
- Pippie uses multiple tools behind the scenes depending on your question: diagnostic decision trees, a knowledge base of manufacturer documents, pump and engine spec databases, built-in calculators, and web search as a last resort. You don't need to pick which tool to use — Pippie figures that out automatically.
- Can I have a back-and-forth conversation?
- Yes. Pippie remembers context within a conversation. Ask your initial question, then follow up with details or related questions without repeating yourself. For example: "Pump losing pressure" → Pippie asks a question → you reply "Cold water unit, about 3 years old" → Pippie narrows it down.
- What if Pippie doesn't know the answer?
- If the knowledge base doesn't have what you need, Pippie can search the web for additional information. If Pippie still can't find it, it will tell you honestly rather than guessing. Questions that stump Pippie are logged so we can add that content later.
- Can Pippie identify equipment from a photo?
- Yes. Upload up to 3 clear photos of the equipment, data plate, or nameplate. Pippie reads model numbers, brand markings, and visible part numbers, then describes what it sees in a 📷 Evidence from photo block before diagnosing — so you can verify it's looking at the right thing. If a model number is readable, Pippie automatically pulls the specs. If the photo is too dark or blurry, you'll be told before upload.
- What does the "What's in this photo?" picker do?
- After your first upload, Pippie asks whether the photo is a 🏷 Model/serial plate, 🔧 Broken or damaged part, 🚨 Error code/display, or 📸 Other/general view. This focuses the analysis on the right thing — text extraction for plates, damage patterns for parts, character-by-character reads for error displays. Pick what fits; the rest of the batch uses the same hint.
Equipment Info Form
▸- What is the equipment intake form?
- When you tap certain diagnostic topics (like Low Pressure or Burner Issues), Pippie may show a short form asking for the equipment type, brand, and model number. This helps Pippie look up the right specs and tailor the diagnosis to your exact machine — saving you several back-and-forth messages.
- Do I have to fill it out?
- No. There's a Skip button if you want to jump straight to chatting. But filling in even just the brand helps Pippie give more accurate answers on the first try.
Pro Tools
▸- Nozzle Calculator
- Built-in nozzle sizing tool based on the Barens chart. Tell Pippie your GPM, PSI, and spray angle, and it returns the correct nozzle size. You can also open it from Reference Charts → Nozzle Size Chart in the sidebar.
- What nozzle for 4 GPM at 3500 PSI, 25 degree?
- Size a nozzle: 3.5 GPM, 4000 PSI, 15 degree angle
- I have a 2504 nozzle — is that right for 4 GPM at 4000?
- Injector Sizing
- Tell Pippie your GPM, PSI, and injector specs to calculate draw rate and pick the right injector orifice. Also available under Reference Charts → Injector Sizing Chart in the sidebar.
- What injector do I need for 4 GPM at 3000 PSI?
- Calculate injector draw rate for my setup
- Multimeter Assistant
- Pippie walks you through guided electrical testing step-by-step — outlet voltage, motor continuity, capacitor testing, CAD cell testing, and GFCI testing. Each procedure tells you exactly where to place your probes, what readings to expect, and what the results mean. Just ask Pippie directly (e.g. "walk me through a capacitor test"). A Friction Loss Chart is also available under Reference Charts in the sidebar for sizing high-pressure hose runs.
- Walk me through a capacitor test
- How do I test motor continuity with a multimeter?
- CAD cell ohm reading — what should it be?
Saving Diagnostics
▸- How do I save a diagnostic?
- Tap the 💾 Save Diagnostic button that appears at the bottom of the chat after Pippie responds. This opens a save form where you can add a title, machine info (name, brand, model, serial), category, severity level, diagnosis summary, steps taken, parts used, and notes. The full conversation is saved automatically.
- Where do my saved diagnostics go?
- Tap Diagnostics (wrench icon) in the sidebar. You'll see a list of all your saved diagnostics as cards showing the title, date, category, and severity. You also have My Machines (notepad icon) in the sidebar for tracking the actual equipment you service — separate from the per-job diagnostic records.
- Can I download or print a diagnostic report?
- Yes. Open any saved diagnostic and tap 📄 Download Report. This opens a clean, printable page you can print directly or save as a PDF from your browser. Great for handing to a shop manager or attaching to a work order.
- Can I edit a saved diagnostic?
- Yes. Open the diagnostic and tap ✏️ Edit to update any field.
- Can I delete a saved diagnostic?
- Yes. Open the diagnostic and tap 🗑 Delete. You'll be asked to confirm before anything is removed.
Giving Feedback
▸- What do the 👍 and 👎 buttons do?
- After every Pippie response, you'll see a "Helpful?" prompt with thumbs up and thumbs down buttons. Tapping one records your rating and helps us track answer quality.
- What happens if I tap 👎?
- A text box appears where you can describe what was wrong or what the correct answer should have been. Your feedback is stored and visible to the admin team. Separately, the admin team reviews chat logs and marks corrections — those expert-reviewed corrections are fed back into Pippie to improve future answers.
- What is "Submit a Field Tip"?
- You'll see a 💡 Add a Tip option after Pippie's responses, and also a Submit a Field Tip section on the home screen. This lets you share real-world knowledge from the field — tricks, shortcuts, things you've learned from experience. Tips are reviewed by the admin team and, once approved, added to Pippie's knowledge base so every tech benefits.
- When a Beckett burner won't fire, check the CAD cell first — 9 out of 10 times it's just dirty.
- EZ4040 V-packings: install the lips facing the pressure side or they'll blow out in a week.
Menu & Settings
▸- What's in the hamburger menu?
- Tap the ☰ icon in the top-right to open it. Two sections:
User Settings — your plan status (Free / Pro / Bundle), an Upgrade to Pro button (free users) or 💳 Manage Billing button (paid users), 🔑 Change Password, ⬇ Export My Data, and 🗑 Delete My Account.
App — ❓ Help & FAQ (this page), 📧 Report an issue, ⚙ Admin Panel (admins only), and 🚪 Logout. - How do I change my password?
- Open the hamburger menu → 🔑 Change Password. You'll be asked for your current password, then your new one. Minimum 8 characters with at least one uppercase letter and one digit.
- What's in "Export My Data"?
- Tap ⬇ Export My Data to download a CSV file with everything we store about your account: profile, chat history, saved diagnostics, machine list, feedback submitted, daily usage, and active sessions. Opens cleanly in Excel, Google Sheets, or Numbers. Each dataset is its own labeled section in the file. Use it for personal backup or GDPR portability.
- How do I delete my account?
- Open the hamburger menu → 🗑 Delete My Account. You'll be asked to confirm. Deletion removes your account, all conversations, saved diagnostics, machines, feedback, and field tips you submitted. This is permanent and cannot be undone. If you want a copy of your data first, run Export My Data before deleting.
Plan & Billing
▸- What's the difference between Free and Pro?
- Free — a small number of diagnostic queries per day, all features available. Great for testing the waters or occasional use.
Pro ($9.99/month) — 50 diagnostic queries per day, priority web search, full photo analysis, saved diagnostics, machine profiles, and email support. - Where do I see what plan I'm on?
- Open the hamburger menu — your plan is shown at the top of the User Settings section ("Free plan", "⚡ Pro plan", or "Admin · unlimited"). The remaining-queries counter in the chat header also shows usage.
- How do I upgrade?
- Open the hamburger menu and tap ⚡ Upgrade to Pro, or tap the ⚡ Go Pro pill in the top header. You'll land on the checkout page — enter your email, pay through Stripe's secure checkout, and your account flips to Pro immediately when the payment succeeds.
- How do I update my card, download invoices, or cancel?
- Paid users see 💳 Manage Billing in the hamburger menu (User Settings section). Tap it to open Stripe's secure Customer Portal where you can update your payment method, download past invoices, or cancel your subscription. You'll come back to P-Supp automatically when done.
- What happens when I cancel?
- You keep full Pro access until the end of your current billing period (the date you've already paid for). After that date, your account drops back to the Free tier automatically. You won't be charged again. You can re-subscribe at any time from the Upgrade page.
- I hit my daily limit — what now?
- The limit resets every 24 hours, so you can try again tomorrow. If you're hitting the cap regularly, upgrading to Pro (50/day) is the simplest fix. Note: if Pippie refuses a question (high-risk safety topic) or hits a knowledge gap, that query is automatically refunded back to your daily count — you don't burn a query on something we can't answer.
Reporting Issues & Getting Help
▸- I found a bug / have a billing question / want to request a feature — how do I tell you?
- Open the hamburger menu and tap 📧 Report an issue. A small form appears — write a short subject (e.g. "Photo upload not working on iPhone") and a description of what happened. Submit, and it goes straight to our support inbox. We aim to reply within 24 hours.
- What gets sent when I report an issue?
- Your subject and description, plus a small block of debug context (the page you were on, your browser/device, your username, and your last few chat IDs) so we can find and reproduce the problem faster. Nothing you didn't already share with us.
- Can I email support directly?
- Yes — support@psupp.ai reaches the same inbox. The in-app form is just easier because the debug context attaches automatically.
- What if I'm logged out and can't access the form?
- Email support@psupp.ai directly. Include your username if you have one so we can look up your account.
Language
▸- Can I use Pippie in Spanish?
- Yes. Tap the globe icon 🌐 in the header to switch between English and Spanish. You can also choose your language on the login screen. Pippie will respond in your selected language, and all buttons and labels in the app will update too. The underlying technical knowledge base stays the same — Pippie translates on the fly.
